This jacket has been recreated from a quilt cover sourced from the Rose Bowl Flea Market in Pasadena, CA sourced by hand.
It features my signature dramatic shoulder, and has been carefully cut and curated to accentuate the original geometry patterns of the crochet work.
Before I cut into any of the materials I’ve sourced, I spend time with the piece to appreciate its original form ie; geometry, colour, pattern, texture and material fibre - and how they move on the bias so that not only is it beautiful, but functional.
ETHICALLY + LOCALLY MADE: Cut and sewn in my studio by me.
