This jacket has been recreated using multi coloured, hexagonal vintage crochet blankets sourced from Facebook Marketplace.
It features my signature dramatic shoulder, and has been carefully cut and curated to accentuate the original geometry patterns of the crochet work.
Before I cut into any of the materials I’ve sourced, I spend time with the piece to appreciate its original form ie; geometry, colour, pattern, texture and material fibre - and how they move on the bias so that not only is it beautiful, but functional.
ETHICALLY + LOCALLY MADE: Cut in my studio and locally sewn by a high skilled sewer who only works with one of a kind pieces and samples giving employment to local craftspeople.

Lining: Magenta and Gold vintage non-organic salvaged lining
Collar: Cream Salvaged leather from a sofa
Front and Back Side Panels: Made from purple vinyl scraps salvaged from the Fashion District in Downtown Los Angeles, local to my studio.
